            In this email:    18th Annual Discovery Dash Registration Deadline; Busy Builders exhibit    
               
                  Discovery Dash Registration Final Deadline Today 
                  

            TODAY is the last day to register for the 18th Annual Discovery Dash!

            What: A series of races for children ages 3-12 and their families.
            When: Saturday May 24, 2008
            Where: Monticello High School Track
            How to register: Online at www.vadm.org or you can pick up forms at the Museum and Ragged Mountain Running Shop.

            The FINAL deadline for regular registration for the Discovery Dash is this TODAY! Registration is 
            $18 per registrant. NO REGISTRATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED AFTER MAY 21. 

            Packet pick-up for those registered will be Thursday, May 22 and Friday, May 23, noon - 6 pm on the Mall in front of the Virginia Discovery Museum. If you are not able to pick up during those times, you can pick up race numbers and t-shirts at the race at Monticello High School at 7:30 am on Saturday May 24 before the race.

                  New Exhibit - Busy Builders
                 

            Busy Builders
            May 17th through October 19th 

             
            Come learn about the exciting and important world of construction!  Put on a hard hat and enter the Virginia Discovery Museum's construction site.  Use blocks or pipes to make a building, try digging with a backhoe, and learn about different tools.

            HOURS:
            Tues-Sat 10:00-5:00 - Sun 1:00-5:00 - Closed Mondays 
            Closed the day before Thanksgiving, Thanksgiving, Dec. 24, Dec. 25, Jan. 1 and Easter. We are open when schools are closed on Snow Days (except on Mondays)! Just call the Museum before heading out.

            ADMISSION:
            $4 per person, all ages (under 1 year old free) - Children must be accompanied by an adult - Museum Members: Free - ASTC and ACM Reciprocal Members: Free - $0.50 AAA discount per person with card - Handicapped accessible

            PARKING:
            2 hours free parking at Market Street Parking Garage (5th & Market) or Water Street Parking Garage (3rd & Water) - bring ticket to front desk for validation
