Jan 12th           Dance 4-6pm
      12th           SOL make-up day
Jan 15th,16th    No school for students
Jan 18th           Math, PE and Health Mid-year assessments, 2nd Semester Begins
       18th          College and Career night @ Burley Middle School     
       18th          School Improvement(SIP) meeting   4-5pm
Jan 22nd          Group/Club picture Day
      22nd          report cards mailed home
Jan 26th           Activity period
 
Feb 5th            Rising 9th grad orientation @ MHS, time TBA
 
 
Thanks to Cindy Adams, and husband, Duane, for coordinating the new brick patio next to the band room!  Their generous donations of additional shrubbery is appreciated! LOOKS GREAT!!!
 
Fund raising continues @ www.gafundraising.com.  Please click on "store" and enter school ID# 4078666 to shop for gifts for all occasions!  Thanks to all who made this years' fundraiser a huge success.  Thanks to Sue Martin, PTO President for all of her efforts!
 
Please continue to save those boxtops and soup labels.  Collection boxes are located in the office.
 
Walton is in need of gently warn coats and sneakers:  shoes sizes 5-12 mens, 6-10 girls
Coats:  small, Medium, large and extra large.  Please drop off in the office.
 
Walton PTO is working on a Career night @ Walton in Feb or so.  Volunteers needed.  Please contact Sue Martin @  mrtphotographer at earthlink.net
 
Surveillance System for Walton:
 
Surveillance systems are in place @ all the high schools. Middle Schools are next .  Please contact the Albemarle County School Board to request a surveillance system for Walton NOW: schoolboard at k12albemarle.org or call 972-4055    
 
We are still in need of a Parent Council representative.  Pease contact Cindy Adams for more info @  cplusinc at earthlink.net
