Dear Families, 

 

Walton Middle School takes pride in being a place where parents and staff work in close partnership to provide students the best possible learning experience. For this reason, we wanted to immediately share with you important news about your school. The purpose of this letter is to inform you of a leadership change at your school due to the resignation of Principal Eric Johnson, who accepted a position in Charlottesville City Schools.  

 

Last night, the School Board approved my recommendation to appoint Mrs. Elizabeth Agee as the next Walton principal. Mrs. Agee currently is the principal of Stuarts Draft Middle School in Augusta County. She has experience as an assistant principal, a special education facilitator, and as an elementary school teacher in Virginia and Georgia. Mrs. Agee holds a bachelor's degree from Virginia Polytechnic State Institute and a master's degree in administration and supervision from the University of Virginia. She will join the Walton team July 9. 

 

We will be working closely with Mrs. Agee to ensure a smooth leadership transition for your school. Under the leadership of Mr. Johnson, Walton made many accomplishments. We are confident Mrs. Agee will be an excellent leader to move your school forward to build upon a solid foundation. We hope you will join us in welcoming her to Walton.
