 *   Congratulations to Walton's Band and Chorus for earning many First Place Awards in the Festival Music Competition in Tennessee!  These District Champs worked hard and deserve the recognition!  Great job!
 *   Dylan Ferrer won an award at the Band competition in Tennessee for his solo performance.  Congratulations Dylan!
 *   Congratulations to Patrick Bond who placed Second in the State History Day finals in Williamsburg this past weekend.  (He was also with the Band!)  He'll travel to Maryland in June for the National History Day competition.

The county track meet is May 8th.   This meet is a really big fund raiser for the band and choir.  We provide all of the refreshments.   I need to be at two places at one time.

The track meet refreshments start at 5:00 so I will need help from about 4:00 on.

I also have the instrument try-out night for rising 5th and 6th grade students on the same night.

I am in need of adults to run the concession stand for the track meet until I can finish up the tryout night.  I can help set up and get you all started but will need to be back inside by 5:30.  PLEASE HELP.

Also needed:
Gatorade
Water
Soda
Diet soda
Chocolate
Single chip bags
Other single serving snacks
Sour straws
Ring pops
Large can of cheese sauce from SAMS
Hot dogs
Buns
1 squeeze bottle of mustard
2 or 3 chopped onion
1 squeeze bottle of relish
Typical concession stand foods

We are also out of hot dog papers and napkins.

I am a parent and PTO member at Cale Elementary. We are sponsering a 5K/1 mile fun run at Cale on Saturday May 17th at 8:30 AM. I wanted to see if we could get that information out to your students, families and staff? Any help would be greatly appreciated. The proceeds from the race go to Cale's PTO.
