Valediction - May 31

Valediction will be held on Sunday, May 31 at 7:00 PM in the WAHS  
Auditorium. Tom Perriello will be this year's guest speaker.

Senior Exam Schedule

Thursday, May 28 - English and Science Exams - Seniors released at  
12:45 PM

Friday, May 29 - Math Exams - Senior released at 2:55 PM

Monday, June 1 - Government and Elective Exams - Seniors released at  
12:45 PM

Tuesday, June 2 - Elective Exams - Seniors released at 12:45 PM

All senior exams must be completed by Tuesday, June 2.

Underclassmen Exam Schedule

Tuesday, June 2 - 3rd Period Exam

Wednesday, June 3 - 1st and 6th Period Exams - Students released at  
12:45 PM

Thursday, June 4 - 4th and 7th Period Exams - Students released at  
12:45 PM

Friday, June 5 - 2nd and 5th Period Exams - Students released at  
12:45 PM

It is a school policy that no final exams may be taken early.

Golden Apple Award Winner - Mr. Martin

Mr. Scovie Martin, AP US History, is the winner of the 2009 Golden  
Apple Award.  The Golden Apples were established in 2001 by Richard  
and Judy Nunley to honor exceptional educators.  One educator is  
chosen from each public and private school in Charlottesville and  
Albemarle County.  In addition to the Golden Apple Award eight  
recipients will be chosen at random based on their affiliation and  
grade level to receive a $1,000 professional development grant.  Mr.  
Martin will be honored this evening at the University of Virginia's  
Rotunda where he will receive his Golden Apple and the grant  
recipients will be announced.
