** Albemarle County Schools Redistricting Proposal Online

The Albemarle County Public Schools redistricting proposal, as 
developed by the Redistricting Committee, is now available on the 
division's web site at the following location:
http://www.k12albemarle.org/Board/LongRangePlanning.htm

The current proposal has all of Woodbrook's 321 students attending 
Jouett for middle school, then going on to Albemarle High School. 
Currently no students go to Jouett. A few students go to Burley, but 
the vast majority move on to Sutherland.

The Redistricting Committee will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, 
February 8, at 6:00 p.m. in the auditorium at Albemarle High School.

The Committee will then send the proposal to School 
Superintendent, Dr. Kevin Castner.  Dr. Castner will review the 
Committee's recommendations and make a final proposal to the 
School Board, probably in late February.  The School Board will 
receive all recommendations from the Committee and Dr. Castner 
for its final review, and plan to make a decision in March-April 2005.
